Self Haul
Our recycling facilities are designed to be easy and convenient for customers bringing materials to recycle. You can visit us at either of our locations in Mount Vernon or Bellingham, where our team is ready to help make the process quick and straightforward.
Our Mount Vernon facility is conveniently located just off Highway 20, next to the Skagit County landfill transfer station. Our new Bellingham facility is located at 2885 E. Bakerview Road, providing Whatcom County residents and businesses with a dedicated local recycling yard.
When you arrive, simply follow the signs to our drive-up scale, where a friendly customer service team member will greet you. They will ask what materials you are bringing to recycle and direct you to the appropriate area in the yard for unloading. If you need help unloading, our yard crew is always nearby and happy to assist.
Your vehicle will be weighed upon arrival so we can record the weight of the materials you brought in to recycle. After you drop off your recyclables, you’ll return to the scale so we can capture the weight of the vehicle alone. This allows us to calculate the weight of the materials you recycled and determine the appropriate fees.
It’s that simple. Whether you visit us in Mount Vernon or Bellingham, we’re here to help make recycling convenient while working together to keep as much material as possible out of our landfills.

Bring Us Your Materials – We’ll Do the Rest
Whether you’re a homeowner doing landscape or remodel projects, or a contractor working on small jobs, you’ll find our self-haul recycling center ready to accept most of your debris. You’ll be doing your part to keep it out of the landfill, and we’ll be doing our part in turning your debris into reusable products.
To us, it’s all about protecting and nurturing our valley’s environment by finding innovative and sustainable waste solutions.

Accepted Materials
We take wood, concrete, drywall, asphalt, metal, plastics, plus mixed construction and demolition materials. (We also take your appliances for FREE!* ) If you’re doing a large landscape project, bring your green waste to our Skagit Soils site (right next door) and we’ll turn it back into mulch, bark and garden soil.
If you’ve got something you’re not certain we recycle, give us a call and we’ll talk about whether we can take it; if we can’t accept it, we’ll guide you to other options for recycling or disposal.
*Freon removal fee when applicable.
